Welcome to my world!

Hey Bestie! Welcome to my little corner of the internet, where I share my life, my passions, my struggles, and everything in between. I'm beyond excited to share my first-ever blog post with you, so grab your favorite cup of coffee (or tea, if that's more your vibe) and let's dive in!

First things first, let me introduce myself. I'm Amy, a 20-year-old who loves all things creative. Whether it's experimenting with bold makeup looks, making friendship bracelets, belting out Taylor Swift lyrics at the top of my lungs, or navigating the ups and downs of dealing with acne, I'm here to share it all with you. This is so fun; it kind of feels like writing a diary and posting it all over the internet!

Let's talk about how I got here. It's kind of a crazy story. Like everyone else, 2020 was a crazy year. I was supposed to take my GCSEs in 2020, but they all got cancelled. With two days notice, I had finished school forever with no idea what was happening with my grades or what I wanted to do next. So I went to college for travel and tourism because I always loved to go on holidays, so I thought it would be so fun to do it as a job!

At the end of the summer of 2020, I started posting makeup videos on TikTok, and they blew up. By April 2021, I had hit 1 million followers, which is crazy. I am forever grateful. I kept posting and posting, and I grew and grew. I started working with brands and getting invited to events. My first ever event was the most surreal day ever. I had just turned 18 and landed that morning from my first girls holiday to New York. I got home, jumped in the shower, and got ready as quickly as I could. I then went to my first event, which was a dinner with Rare Beauty to celebrate their launch in the U.K. at Rare Beauty. I'm so lucky to get invited to so many cool events with my dream brands. My favourite events are the ones where I get to meet people I look up to. I met Olivia Rodrigo to celebrate the release of her album Guts; I met Selena Gomez for the release of the rare beauty kind words lipstick and lipliners; and I was invited to Sabrina Carpenter's London show; each one of those was so surreal because I idolise all of those people so much!

While all of this was happening, it was really important to me to continue growing and learning, so I stayed in college for the full 2 years and completed an extended dimpola with a distinction*. On the day that I finished college, I went to see Billie Eillish play in London. It was so much fun! .  Since then, I have been constantly trying to find new ways to better myself and learn, and I have just recently qualified to be a makeup artist!

Since then, I have had more time to focus on social media and other projects. I have spent the past year working with Eylure, creating and designing my own lashes with them, which you can buy at Superdrug. It has been a huge dream come true, so I am so grateful that the launch of my lashes was so fun. I did a window takeover at my local superdrug and there was a huge picture of my face in the window! Then I hosted a party with all my family and friends to celebrate, and it was so much fun. I also started posting on Instagram and YouTube and have now started this website, where I hope to post a variety of content, from blog style, including my makeup favs and me fangirling about Taylor Swift, to diary style posts like this one, selling the random things that I love to make in my free time, connecting with people, and seeing how we can work together.

So, whether you're here for the friendship bracelets, makeup, the Taylor Swift love fest, or simply to commiserate over acne struggles, I'm thrilled to have you along for the ride.

Xoxo Amy (I feel like gossip girl lol)
